Capital City Concerts Announces Artistic Leadership Succession Rooted in Mentorship and Legacy
After more than a quarter century of leadership, Capital City Concerts founder and Artistic Director, Vermont Grammy‑nominated flutist Karen Kevra, will pass the artistic leadership of the organization to husband-and-wife musicians Jillian Reed and Tyler Emerson at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 season. Save the dates for our fall concerts:
- A celebration of new beginnings and mentorship on Saturday, September 12th at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier. Capital City Concerts welcomes a string quartet from Grammy-nominated Palaver Strings and CCC's new artistic directors, Jillian Reed and Tyler Emerson, with a performance of treasured works and hidden gems from the French romantic era.
- A fall feast of music and poetry on Saturday, October 3rd at the Unitarian Church of Montpelier and Sunday, October 4th at the Charlotte Congregational Church. This program will feature renowned vocalist Mary Bonhag, the Skylark Quartet, and a chorus directed by Dick Riley, highlighting the music of local composer Don Jamison, and his son, indie-folk musician Henry Jamison.
